Cohen Companies originally purchased the full block at 1025 Frist Street SE DC 20003, planning a 3 phase development. Market conditions and slow sales at Velocity Condominiums changed the plans and what was to be Phase II (a second 200 unit tower abutting Phase I tower on north) was instead sold off to Toll Brothers mid-2012 for $24M. Cohen retains ownership of Phase III, on Half Street.
